The Design Process

HOW WE PREFER TO WORK

We have a robust process for delivering great websites at a realistic price. It’s important you understand what to expect before you start working with us and check that you are comfortable with it. If you would like to discuss we will be happy to guide you through it.

01 - Sign Up

First you do need to sign up to our service. Having initial discussions to talk through your project are free, it does not cost you anything, in fact it will likely save time, energy and expense later to go through your needs and expectations in detail prior to instructing us to proceed.

New projects require a deposit of 50% at the commencement, mid-point 25%, 25% at launch. For year two and onwards, the hosting fees can be paid either annually or monthly with additional project development on an 'as-and-when' basis.

02 - Plan

After you sign up we request you go through the CHECK LIST. This allows us to understand what you want and we can then research similar companies within your sector. We also look at current design trends, what we know works well from a marketing perspective and other strong external industry websites.

This stage is all about us understanding what you want but also adding our experience in order to complement your project.

03 - Design

We will create a design for you to review and then work with you until you are happy to sign it off. We offer unlimited revisions until sign off and it’s important that we do not start the build until you are ready.

Please note that once the design is approved and the project moves onto the build stage that any design changes may potentially incur an additional charge.

04 - Build

Once the design is agreed the website will be built. This involves ensuring the agreed design works across all different devices and screen sizes. Every website that we create is responsive (mobile-friendly).

At this stage you will also need to supply the text and content for every page. If it’s an eCommerce website (eStore) we will need to go through the categories and products for the website.

05 - Launch

When the website is ready it will be set 'as live' although a number of tests and other preparations will still need to take place.

We will set the SEO (Search Engine Opimisation) so that the website manifests in the public domain search engines. We will enable the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), get the website verified by Google and other preparations so that we can monitor and provide accurate Performance Reports. We can also advise on promotion using social media, links to appropriate subject-related sites, directories, and other sites which will boost your visitor traffic.

06 - Support

Our job does not end when the site is launched and optimised. For many clients, this can be where it really starts and the fun begins!

We are here to support you as much or as little as you need and if you need any complex additional upgrades which are not routine, we will do them under our hourly support charge.

We conduct a free regular Review of your website. As your business grows or changes we are on hand to help you adapt when you need us.
